My spouse and I have been coming here for over seven years. We keep coming back despite moving further away. The food is consistently delicious. Portion sizes are an excellent value. The service is always great. Zu has been our server the last few times and she is wonderful.

A Nepalese Indian restaurant with a combination of delicious momos & Indian food. We had the vegetarian Jhol Momos and they came with a sesame tomato sauce and were delicious. Do know the soup is a cold and the momos are hot. It was an interesting combination. We also had the Dal Bhukara which is like a dal makhani and the bindi amchur both dishes were delicious. The dal bakhura is a little different than a makhani but still good...

We came here for a weekend lunch, and there were plenty of seats available. The garlic naan was very crispy and also soft at the same time - highly recommend. The palak panner, chili chicken and korma chicken were also delicious. The environment and service were just okay - they served our korma dish with the sauce running out of the pot a bit. Overall, we would come back for the food. (For more fun stuff, follow me on IG ➡️ miss_dawang)

First time eating here on 18 November. Lunch was amazing. Service was very good too. The server said the cuisine is more Nepalese than Indian. Only reason I give 3 stars for Atmosphere is because it was dead which was surprising because the food was so good. This place should have a line out of the door!

We have been regulars to Masala for the last 7 years - it's our go-to restaurant in the area for family, when we have guests, for celebrating with friends, and for ourselves. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is very high quality, fresh, and delicious. Both take-out and eating in are winners. But we're especially taken with the staff, who recognize us and our orders and have gone out of their way to make it feel like home. I'm delighted to hear the buffet is back...

My 9 year search for tasty tandoori kebabs ended here. The kebabs, biriyani, Garlic naan, Paneer tikka masala spread was fantabulous.

Very pleased so far with Masala. This is a very skilled kitchen with Indian and Nepalese cooking, and the restaurant strikes a near perfect balance of sophisticated yet casual dining, friendly atmosphere, and accessible food.

Me and my family ordered the Chicken Momo, The Chicken tikka masala, And the Lamb Vindaloo. They were all very delicious and Very authentic. Obviously, I didn't get my son anything. Because he was staying home, probably eating plain bugles and mountain dew that he stole from the local 7-11. He, in a fit of pure unadulterated rage, ripped to shreds my wife's birthday present from me-- it was a beautiful silk robe before Wilbur got his dirty, devil lickin hands on it. If I were in my right mind I woulda kicked his silly body to the curb. But of course, I am too kind. And in gods name I swear I will mend that boys hubris and I will mend his sick sick mind. I come to this restaurant with my family every time we're craving some good curry. This place doesn't miss, no sir!

Food was tasty. Wish they still had the lunch buffet though, but still worth the visit.

Delightful place for some delicious Indian food. Service was friendly, portions were average and the quality of the food was amazing. The dining room was tight but it was no biggie. Plenty of parking. The butter chicken is a must get!

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had. A big fan of the spinach chaat, chicken 65, butter chicken, seafood curry, and garlic naan!

A McLean classic, love the tandoori seafood grille, gobhi & masala sauced dinners. Bring back the tea for dinner!

I tried this place for the first time via delivery in April 2024 while visiting, and it was so good I ordered it again the next day!
My dishes of choice were the Kashmiri Rogan Josh, chicken biryani, and basil garlic naan. The Rogan Josh dish has a depth of flavor that made me want to eat the sauce just by itself, paired with the lamb that was cooked to the perfect tenderness. The basil garlic naan was tasty and had the right amount of seasoning and saltiness, and the chicken biryani was cooked well.

Delicious Indian! If you are looking for a fresh, made from scratch food option in McLean (hard to find) - this place is great. The dishes are made to order so expect to wait a little. But its worth it - the seasonings are fresh, unique, whole herbs, and packed with flavor, not the mixes a lesser quality restaurant might use. The meat is high quality and fresh. They seat you quickly, the service is always impeccable and friendly. The atmosphere is clean, updated, and comfortable. They usually have some flowers on the table, so its a nice place for a family meal or a date night.

I really like their fresh sauces and chutneys. The staff is friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking and quite casual. I plan to move through their menu.

Will travel for this food! I live in Great Falls and unlike our local Indian restaurant (sorry bollywood) the chicken at Masala is always tender. Care is put into the food and presentation. Great taste!

This is a fabulous restaurant. It’s one of my favorites & very reasonably priced too. I’ve been there over a dozen times for lunch and dinner & it never disappoints! The spinach chaat is to die for. All of the chicken & seafood dishes are cooked to perfection. The naan (especially onion) are all good. The service is always polite & efficient. The wine list is exceptionally good! I hope the restaurant can resume its luncheon buffet that had to be discontinued during covid.

Speaking for me, I like flavorsome Indian food but I’m not a fan of extra-spicy choices that burn all night. Masala has me covered with great flavor profiles in menu items, and spice choices that run from mild to hot. The naan bread is nice, lots of types. There is a cocktail menu, and it’s limited but OK. Table service is attentive and the staff seem to be there for a number of years (no constant turnaround, which is a good sign). About half of the tables are next to a window, and in good weather there are a half-dozen outdoor tables that are in the shade in the evenings (face south-west). I love the food here!
